Our Approach

Of course, an outdoor living project large in scope that is complex will require a different process than a small and simple project or recurring service. We understand that every project and every situation can be a bit different as well. Below is a general and simplified outline of our process. We can also bid and build to your preexisting plan or design.

1.
Discovery & Consultation

We start with a conversation to understand your intent for the project or your service needs, assess your property, and determine the best next step- usually a quote or design agreement. Rough pricing, options, and preliminary considerations are discussed.

2.
Planning & Value Engineering

*Not usually required for recurring services or small projects. The design and planning phase is where we value engineer your project- and establish the scope of work, project pricing, and our installation/construction plan. This phase will look a bit different for each project and each scenario, with some requiring more design and pre-construction work than others.

3.
Professional Execution

This is when the proposed plan comes to life! Expect a stress-free, transparent, and efficient construction or service experience due to our thorough design and planning process and consistent communication. Our team respects you, your project, and your property.

4.
Walk-Through & Stewardship

After the project or service is completed, we will walk through the project to confirm it is up to our and your standard. For an installation or construction project, we will go over any pertinent information and maintenance information, as well as to confirm that the project is completed as expected.

FAQ's

What material is best for my patio?

The best material for your patio will be determined by a multitude of factors. Site requirements, design intentions, and budget are the three most important.  We recommend Unilock or Techo-Bloc pavers, granite, bluestone, flagstone and porcelain as great patio options here in CT.

What is the difference between a 3-season, 4-season and screened in space?

A screened-in porch or enclosed porch has features to block out bugs, wind, and sun.  An enclosed porch may also retain some heat when using a vinyl wall system, but not much at all.   Now, a 3-season room takes it a step further and provides a lightly insulated, fully enclosed space with its own heating and cooling system (usually something simple).  A 3-season space will feel much more finished, and more like a home addition than an exterior feature; however, it lacks the robust structure and insulation to be heated efficiently during the colder months.  If you want the ultimate level of refinement and usability, a 4-season addition (or sunroom) is what you're looking for.  A 4-season space is designed and built to be efficient and useful all year.

How do you ensure drainage installations are effective?

We assess your soil type, grade, existing utilities, surrounding water, and water tables to determine an appropriate solution for your drainage problem.  You will also receive an industry-leading warranty on your installation, which is further backed by our client for life approach to business.

Do you provide landscape and hardscape maintenance services?

We offer maintenance services on our installations.  Additionally, we provide hardscape maintenance and commercial landscape maintenance.
