What is the difference between a 3-season, 4-season and screened in space?
A screened-in porch or enclosed porch has features to block out bugs, wind, and sun. An enclosed porch may also retain some heat when using a vinyl wall system, but not much at all. Now, a 3-season room takes it a step further and provides a lightly insulated, fully enclosed space with its own heating and cooling system (usually something simple). A 3-season space will feel much more finished, and more like a home addition than an exterior feature; however, it lacks the robust structure and insulation to be heated efficiently during the colder months.
